Positions
marked with an (*) are required by BSA. The first five positions are essential
for quality troop operation. The last three are optional, but should be
filled where qualified candidates exist. There is no maximum limit to the
number of troop committee members; for committees with more members than
voting positions listed, assign each additional member to assist one of
the voting members. All Troop leaders (Scouters) must be approved by the
Chartered Organization (Bluff Park United Methodist Church for Bluff Park
Troop 21).
All adults with an interest in BSA Bluff Park Troop 21 are invited to attend troop committee meetings. The meeting is normally held the Monday after the monthly troop camp out at 8:00PM at the scout hut.
All eight Troop Committee
position holders are authorized to wear the Troop Committee patch.
The TC Chair and the TC Chaplain have a unique patch. The Chartered
Organization Representative has a unique patch but is not one of the eight
position holders of the Troop Committee. The Chartered Org. Rep.
is a special position that is singularly recognized and is closely associated
with the Troop Committee.
